Bird Island is located on the northern coast of the island in the Pacific Islands off the coast fishing village of Tanjung Binga. Wide island approximately 2 acres, surrounded by white sand and granite boulders scattered on the beach and the sea around the island.
Unique from Bird Island is a large pile of granite stones on the beach east side shaped like the head of a bird unique. According to the local community, the island's name is taken from the stone bird. This bird-shaped stones to be one beauty icon of granite boulders on the Belitung island. Stone size is approximately equivalent to 3-storey buildings with unique formations. Looks like it could split the stone and there are some that look likely skewed due to coastal erosion.
Birds on the island there are several bungalows under coconut trees that you can use to rest. For those of you who like adventure, walking around the island looking for scenery and unique form of granite boulders scattered around the island will make a memorable experience to spend time on the island this bird.
If you want to do snorkeling activities, the location is pretty good for snorkeling around the berbetuk granite head of a bird before. Even if the water is receding sea you can find nemo fish just meters from the beach. The best time for birds to the island is in the late afternoon, especially if you want to take good photos with the background of the bird's head stone. In the afternoon the sun will fall in front of the stone birds in the background. Bird trip to the island takes 30 minutes from the beach of Tanjung Kelayang or 15 minutes from the fishing village of Tanjung Binga. Bird trip to the island is usually done in one trip with a trip to the Lengkuas island.
